Introducing Wingspan by Stonemaier Games!

Ok so this one was on our list for far too long!! We first played it at a tabletop networking event in 2019 and immediately fell in love with the artwork and overall design.😍

The game-play admittedly threw us off at first because we only had 45minutes to learn and play, which was not enough for a group of 4 to fully grasp it. But the game's design is impeccable, the artwork is beyond gorgeous and the quality of the game's pieces show that its creators have a strong passion for what they built. 🤩

✨GAMEPLAY✨

In Wingspan you are an enthusiastic bird-watcher, curating the most perfect wildlife sanctuary for your feathery friends. 🐦🦅🕊️

Each bird card has a "power" which helps your sanctuary grow and is worth a certain amount of points at the end of the game.

On a player's turn, they can choose to either play a bird card by paying the "cost" (using your food), collect food from the bird feeder, place eggs in their habitat (which are used as a "cost" to play cards in certain spots and are worth points at the end of the game), or pick up new bird cards to use on later turns. 😃

The winner is the player who has accumulated the most points from a variety of sources after 4 rounds of gameplay. 🤪

Now this may sound confusing and to be totally honest, it took us a bit of time to understand how to play this game efficiently. But after just a couple times that Wingspan made an appearance in our game nights, we were able to successfully complete a game in less than 1/2 hour. (In fact we often play at least once every week now! 😂)

We absolutely recommend giving this beautiful game a try if you are into multi-strategy games. This one will test your creative juices and is sure to be a hit at your game nights. 🥰

Enjoy! 🤓
