Picture all the games you played with a deck of cards growing up. Now imagine they all got together and had a baby. (Weird visual, we know!)
Krypto-Nine is the bi-product of what made all those games ridiculously fun, without their repetitive nature!
The game is played in two parts:
Core game - Players take turns combining & playing cards in their cards which add up to 9 (4+5, 7+2, 3+3+3, etc), with the objective of playing all their cards. Once the first player does this successfully, they earn a Victory Card.
The “secret sauce” (Victory Cards) - Victory Cards allow you to manipulate the game by changes its aspects. Perhaps you don’t like the cards in your hands. Play the Switcheroo Victory Card and now they’re someone else’s problem! Is someone about to snatch your victory by playing their last set of cards, while you were just about to do the same? Switch spots with them by playing the Changes Places Victory Card and change the fate of the game! (Or at least that round!)
The game has over 20 unique Victory Cards and with over 100 more being developed and play-tested for future expansions, most of which playing off each other for sweet combos, VC’s allow for endless ways to play and win this game.
